Palm Beach Equine Clinic offers national and international services for all disciplines from Polo, Dressage, Hunter/Jumpers, Western performance and Thoroughbred racing. Whether you are a Florida resident, or are only in Wellington for the season, we will provide the veterinary care that your horse needs.

We offer a 24-hour emergency service with a doctor on call and technicians on staff. In the event of an emergency, please call (561) 793-1599. After hours and on weekends, our phones continue to ring through to our technicians and they will contact the doctor on call immediately. Possible emergency situations include: colic, trauma and lacerations, dystocias, eye injuries, and severe illness. If you are unsure if you are in an emergency situation, please don't hesitate to call.

Palm Beach Equine Clinic is equipped to deal with a wide range of medical situations. Our referral staff includes board certified ophthalmologists, radiologists, and internal medicine specialists. Consultation is on a regular basis.  We also provide medical services from the sick neonatal care for respiratory, neurologic, GI, dental and ophthalmologic cases. Our full-service laboratory is equipped with on-site hematology and chemistry as well as microbiology.

As our horse’s lifespan increases, it is important to maintain good health with preventative medicine. Our services include physical examinations, vaccinations, de-worming, and dental exams.

We also educate our clients about the Pfizer PreventiCare program. This program encourages regular veterinary care and qualifies your horse for coverage in the case of severe colic. Rapidly developing technology, including endoscopy computed and digital radiology, ultrasonography and nuclear Scintigraphy, provides us with state-of-the-art imaging systems that allow quick and concise diagnosis for the patient. These tools allow for thorough diagnostics of tendons and ligaments, bones and joints, and the internal organs, reproductive tract. Video endoscopy allows us to evaluate the upper airway to the stomach and beginning of the small intestine. Our veterinarians have the ability to perform digital radiographs, ultrasound and endoscopy in the field as well as in the clinic.

When properly applied by a trained practitioner, alternative medicine can be used in conjunction with traditional sports medicine to give you and your horse the winning edge. In many instances, athletic horses have responded favorably to this treatment. Palm Beach Equine has veterinarians trained in chiropractic, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to help your horse reach their optimal level. Palm Beach Equine Clinic conducts all aspect of assisted reproduction with the safety and reproductive success of your horse in mind. Reproductive services are offered both in the hospital and in the field. Our services range from live-cover of your mare to the freezing of embryos.

Palm Beach Equine Clinic is renowned for its full-service surgical center. Current techniques are less invasive and provide shorter recovery times with less discomfort for your horse. Palm Beach Equine Clinic provides orthopedic options with arthroscopy, and uses PRP and bone marrow for tendon and ligament repair.

Dr. Robert Brusie, a nationally renowned surgeon, is the team leader. He is ably assisted by Dr. Dawn Loesch. Both are board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
